Dipsy is an antagonist in Five Nights at Tubbyland.

Appearance

Out of all the tubbybots in the game, Dipsy seems to be the least damaged. Dipsy is a green tubbybot, with his right eye being ripped off, while the left reveals an endoskeleton eye. Some of the suit is also missing from the back of his head. His head decoration is a tall pointed spike.

Original Dipsy.

Behavior

Dipsy is inactive until Night 3 and starts on the Performance Stage. On Night 3 and onwards, Dipsy will start moving, from the Performance Stage, to the Party Area, then the Party Hall, next to the first Dining Room, and finally the second Dining Room, playing a strange music, after which he will crawl through the vent, through the door, and into your office. He can be held back with a fume mechanic which is limited and when used he will be stopped in his tracks. He is distracted by the fumes because he was given a stronger sense of smell to put ingredients into the custard machine to save money, and the fumes may be making him think he found the ingredients, stopping him in his tracks. He can also be stopped by closing the door when he is heard crawling through the vent, making him stay at the door. When he is in the office, Dipsy will cause an error and will drain your door power, and will stay until the end of the night.

Trivia

  • Dipsy was apparently a problem during development, since the game developer, Critolious, said on a side note: "P.S: Dipsy hates me".
  • Dipsy has a resemblance to Freddy Fazbear in the first Five Nights at Freddy's with his laughter.
  • Dipsy is the only animatronic in the first game to not have a jumpscare.
    • However, Dipsy was originally going to have a jumpscare, but it was scrapped for unknown reasons.
    • His counterpart Prototype Dipsy and his version in the second game can kill the player, like him when he originally had his jumpscare.
  • Dipsy is the only tubbybot in the first game that can go through the vent between the Dining Room 2 and the Left Door area.
  • There was a bug that after Dipsy crawled through the vent, he wasn't shown in the Left Door camera but he could enter the office, this was fixed in the 2015 Christmas update.
  • There always was an alarm when Dipsy entered the office. This was removed in the 2015 Christmas update, leaving only the garble of him in the office.
    • Immediately, his pose in the office has been changed as well.
  • Dipsy has a similarity with Tinky Winky in the second game and the Original, as they all activate on the third night and have something to do with taking away power. The Original was even was supposed to be a Dipsy animatronic before it was vandalized.
  • The music that Dipsy plays in the second Dining Room, is the song when the paycheck is shown, but inverted and a little slowed down.
    • In the 2015 Christmas update, this was scrapped and changed to the sound he makes while in the office.
  • Dipsy was originally intended to be the main antagonist of FNaTL, but this was later scrapped, and changed to Po.
    • This was hinted towards with the Original being a Dipsy model.
  • The Dipsy plush from the Dream Night appears to be the only one who has its accessory at all times.
  • Dipsy's scream resembles a distorted low pitched version of Po's scream.
  • Much like the 2nd and third game clicking Dipsy on the office poster will say 'I like paperclips'

Dipsy
Mugshot dipsy
Gender Male
Species Upgraded Tubbybot
Occupation Entertainer
Starting area Dipsy's Arcade

Dipsy is an antagonist in Five Nights at Tubbyland 2. Rather than being a whole new tubbybot, he is a repaired version of the Dipsy from the first game.

Appearance

Dipsy is a green tubbybot with a completely straight head decoration. Just like the other upgraded tubbybots, Dipsy can change his eye appearance, and he has a lower jaw completely separate from his upper head.

Behavior

Dipsy will start in the Dipsy's Arcade camera. He will then appear in front of the camera, staring, with human-like eyes. Afterward, he will travel through the Tubby Toilets and the Tubby Hall into the office. If the smoke machine is not activated, he will jumpscare the player. Unlike other tubbybots, Dipsy does not bring down the camera upon entering the Office, but he will still cause the lights to flicker and make noise. This can be a problem, as the player can be unable to notice him entering fast enough to put up the smoke in time unless the player can react quickly. Dipsy gives about as much time to put up the smoke as Laa-Laa, and as of the Thanksgiving update, he appears in the office more commonly. If fended off, he returns to his starting position in Dipsy's Arcade.

Trivia

  • Dipsy will speak in a demonic voice when he moves. These sounds are voiced by the games creator; Critolious.
  • Based on one of the demonic quotes, Dipsy can feel the temperature.
  • In the first game, Dipsy did not have a jumpscare, he just drained door power. However, Dipsy has a jumpscare in the 2nd game, with the non-jumpscare role being taken by Tinky Winky.
  • When in the Tubby Hall camera, Dipsy will remove his suit head, revealing the endoskeleton underneath.
  • Dipsy's head can be seen in the office as a decoration in Five Nights at Tubbyland 3 : The End Game. If it is clicked, a punch sound and a line saying 'I like paperclips' will play.
    • He will say the same thing if clicked in the FNaTL 2 office poster.
  • Dipsy is the only one who doesn't make an appearance in the FNaTL 2 trailer.
  • Dipsy was originally going to enter the Party Room, but it was scrapped because Critolious "screwed up on the programming," though it can still be seen due to a glitch.
    • In this room, he shows his normal eyes.
  • If Dipsy is clicked on the poster in the office in any night other than the Custom Night, he will say the "I like paperclips" sound from Five Nights at Tubbyland 3 in a text-to-speech voice.
  • If the player clicks on Dipsy in the Custom Night menu, he will say a long speech on paperclips in a text-to-speech voice.
"A paper clip (or sometimes paperclip) is an instrument used to hold sheets of paper together, usually made of steel wire bent to a looped shape. Most paper clips are variations of the Gem type introduced in the 1890s or earlier, characterized by the almost two full loops made by the wire. Common to paper clips proper is their utilization of torsion and elasticity in the wire, and friction between wire and paper. When a moderate number of sheets are inserted between the two "tongues" of the clip, the tongues will be forced apart and cause torsion in the bend of the wire to grip the sheets together. Too many sheets will cause the elastic limit of the material to be exceeded, resulting in permanent deformation."

Prototype Dipsy
Proto dipsy
Gender Male
Species Green tubbybot
Occupation Decomissioned
Starting area Wreckage Closet

Prototype Dipsy is a prototype animatronic and one of the nine antagonists in Five Nights at Tubbyland 3: The End Game.

Appearance

Prototype Dipsy is a green tubbybot with a tall spike as a head decoration, and has a an upper jaw resemblance of a bloodhound, like the other prototypes. He is missing the suit for his lower jaw, his whole right arm, his left forearm and hand, and has missing suit over his right lower leg and foot, and over his left foot. Wires pour out from his right shoulder and left elbow. He has damage over the suit for his thighs, his left upper arm, and his left lower leg, and has large holes over his torso. As stated in the trailer, Prototype Dipsy is a rejected prototype. In a few cameras, he seems to have no eyes, but in most of them, he has normal eyes. His eyes become a strange milky colour in his jumpscare.

Behavior

Prototype Dipsy starts in the Wreckage Closet and has two stages there. He will then move to the Parts Hall, the Main Hallway, and/or the Ventilation Hall. He can appear at the middle door or the ceiling vent. If he gets in, he will kill you. If fended off, he will appear back in the Wreckage Closet. He attacks quick, according to a tip shown on the death screen.

Trivia

  • As of leaked from TinyTheMelon, all prototypes were made before the creation of the animatronics in FNaTL1.
  • While it's true that the prototype animatronics look like the upgraded tubbybots, they are not and should not be confused with them.
  • Since Prototype Dipsy does not have a jaw or hands, it is currently unknown how he kills you.
    • But it is most likely that Po, or the other prototype animatronics, help and kill the player after Prototype Dipsy attacks.
    • He still has his endoskeleton mouth, though it is very small and will likely be blocked by the suit for his upper head if he tries to bite.
  • Prototype Dipsy is somehow able to enter the vent without arms.
  • His unedited scream is an alarm.
  • When Prototype Dipsy is meant to be in his active state in the Wreckage Closet, he will instead appear inactive, and Decimated will appear in his active state in the Wreckage Hall. As such, the file of Prototype Dipsy in his active state in the Wreckage Closet is unused. This is most likely a mistake made while programming the game.
  • Prototype Dipsy from the trailer takes the same, if not, very similar pose to the unused file of him standing in the Wreckage Closet.

Dipsy
Beta dipsy thing
Gender Male
Species Green Tubbybot
Occupation Former Entertainer
Starting area Performance Stage

Dipsy is an antagonist in the demo of Five Nights at Tubbyland.

Appearance

Beta Dipsy looks similar to Dipsy from the full game, except there is a neat hole where his eye was instead of it looking like it was ripped out, and all of his suit sections are connected. He also has a pale skin color like all the other Tubbybots as well. The reason for this is unknown. He also holds his missing eye in many of the cameras.

Behavior

It is unknown what exactly his behavior is, as he activates on Night 3 and the demo only goes to Night 2, though it can be assumed that he behaved like Laa-Laa, as they both go to the exact same locations and the fact that he was going to have a jumpscare.

Trivia

  • There were two scrapped files that were leaked by Critolious showing Laa-Laa and Dipsy from the demo standing in the doorway, which showed that there was originally going to be a door light, but was replaced by the Left Door camera to add more originality.
  • Apparently, Dipsy cannot appear in the Party Hall with just Laa-Laa, due to not having a texture for that instance.
  • Dipsy in the demo carries his missing eye on his hand in most cameras, while Dipsy in the full game does not.
  • According to Critolious, Dipsy was going to be an actual Teletubby with his red eye, but it was changed due to lack of skill.
